About us

Established in 2014 by Natia Bukia, Natia Chkhartishvili and Salome Vakhania Project ArtBeat is an innovative start-up in the Georgian art scene. Our aim is to offer carefully selected Georgian and Caucasian artists and their works to the international community through our online platform projectartbeat.com. Selected artists and their works will have an opportunity to become available at international art fairs and biennials.

Project ArtBeat also aims to make the information about Georgian and Caucasian art available through the online platform.

Moreover, in collaboration with artists and art professionals Project ArtBeat is planning various art projects, which will help to promote Georgian and Caucasian contemporary art to both local and international communities. Moving Gallery by Project ArtBeat, is a new experimental pop-up space which will give art lovers an opportunity to appreciate contemporary art in an innovative and unique manner. Moving Gallery also creates an opportunity to introduce Georgian and international artists and projects to both central and peripheral regions of Georgia, where communities have less access to contemporary art and where museums and art galleries may not function.

Through its online platform and with various art projects Project ArtBeat will encourage local artists and facilitate Georgian and Caucasian contemporary art. Our long-term goal is to help Georgia become a regional centre of contemporary art.

Our Mission:

  • Promoting Georgian artists internationally through our online gallery, through being represented at international art fairs, through partnering with international galleries, and through representing Georgian pavilions at international biennales etc.;
  • Organizing exhibitions at our Moving gallery and other art institutions, to promote contemporary art scene in Georgia, especially in the peripheries;
  • Supporting artists to help them participate in international competitions, art prizes and residencies;
  • Partnering with large institutions to raise funds for new artistic projects;
  • Making information about the Georgian art scene and Georgian artists available through our blog on our online platform.
