Georgian Nonconformist artist Otar Chkhartishvili was born in 1938 in Kobuleti, Georgia. He spent his childhood near the sea, after his student life he lived in the industrial city of Rustavi (Georgia). While studying at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts Chkhartishvili used to visit exhibitions in Moscow and Leningrad and brought back literature about art.
