In Mindiashvilis' practice, research into both memory and identity start to come up, in the first place, at the subjective level, while questioning the border of the private and the public in the same way as subjective/objective dichotomy. Mindiashvilis series of mixed-media works private/public, subject/object dichotomies remind us of a yet another issue of the so-called post-Soviet crisis of the region.
Levan Mindiashvili was born in 1979 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Mindiashvili emerged as an artist in Germany, while starting to participate in various art-related projects.
